Max Branch, originally from Greenwood, MS, has cultivated a remarkable career marked by dedication to both his country and community. After graduating from New Hope High School, Max answered the call to serve and joined the United States Army, embarking on a journey that took him across the globe. Stationed in Kuwait, Columbus, MS, Kansas City, KS, and Fort Jackson, SC, Max served with distinction, ultimately retiring in 2022 after 22 years of honorable service.

 

Transitioning seamlessly into law enforcement, Max began his tenure with the Columbus Police Department in 2011, where he demonstrated his commitment to public safety in various roles, including patrolman, K-9 handler, SWAT Team member, and Narcotics investigator. His expertise and dedication were further showcased during his time with the Pickens County Sheriff’s Department, where he served as a Deputy, Criminal Investigator, and Narcotics officer.

 

In 2021, Max returned to the Columbus Police Department, this time joining the Criminal Investigation Division, before expanding his horizons by joining the District Attorney's Office as an Investigator in December of the same year. Throughout his illustrious career, Max pursued higher education, studying at Grantham University, and becoming a Certified Investigator through the State of Mississippi's Certified Investigator Program.

 

In 2023, Max continued his pursuit of justice as a criminal investigator with the DA's office of the 16th Judicial District, entrusted with serving the counties of Lowndes and Noxubee.

 

Beyond his professional endeavors, Max finds immense joy in his role as a father to three children - Kalyn, Addison, and Peyton. He treasures moments spent with his kids and indulges in his passion for golf whenever time permits. Max's unwavering commitment to both his family and his duty to uphold the law exemplifies his character and dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of those around him.
