Steven Woodruff, known to most as “Woody,” brings 15 years of law enforcement experience to the District Attorney’s Office. Steven is a native of Corinth, MS where he began his law enforcement career with the Alcorn County Sheriff’s Department. He has a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies.
Steven is a 2001 graduate of the North MS Law Enforcement Training Academy and a 2004 graduate of the MS Certified Investigator Program. He moved to Starkville in 2003 and worked with the Mississippi State University Police Department and the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Department. In 2008, Steven accepted a position with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and was assigned the Starkville District Office. In 2010, he was elected the Vice President of the Agents Association and began working closely with the Mississippi Legislature on issues that would benefit not only the Bureau of Narcotics but also the citizens of Mississippi.
In his spare time, Steven enjoys watching his daughter, Aspen, play sports and spending time with family and friends.
