Assistant District Attorney
Lindsay received both her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Mississippi. While attending the School of Law she was President of the Law Association for Women as well as President of the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy and interned for the Mississippi Law Research Institute, updating the Mississippi Prosecutor’s Manual. After an externship with the District Attorney’s office here in Columbus, Lindsay moved home in 2007 to work in the same District Attorney’s Office in which her father, Jim Kirkley, worked during the 1990s.
Before returning to Mississippi to complete her education, Lindsay lived for several years in Boston, Massachusetts, and then New York City, where she studied Acting and Improvisation under the tutelage of the late greats: George Morrison, Paul Sills, and Mike Nichols. During those years she held jobs for companies as varied as White Mountain Films, Vibe Magazine and MIT Press.
Over the years, Lindsay has developed a series of talks given to local schools covering cyberbrime, internet safety, sexting, and the potential legal issues facing seniors as they head off to college. If interested in having Mrs. Clemons speak at your school, contact her at the email address below.
Lindsay is married to Josh Clemons and has three children. She is an active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and Junior Auxiliary of Columbus.
